I’m Rich Storey, a graphic designer based in York. By day, I work at Karian and Box as a creative designer, specialising in data visualisation. I work closely with big clients such as HSBC, Barclays, Tesco, Asda, Nestle and many others to create bespoke, high-end reports and infographics that are informative and engaging, visually communicating a story using the means of data and graphics. I also work on campaign material for internal communications for big brands such as Burberry, Anglo American and Barratt Homes. This could be anything from printed material such as posters, brochures and point of sale, to online toolkits and interactive PDFs.

Outside of work hours, I specialise in logo design and brand consultancy. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with countless small businesses, offering a personal, tailored service, to create a brand designed to get them and their product noticed. I have a real passion for helping people build their brand and give them an identity to be proud of; often it’s a new start up, where the client really has no idea where to start in terms of their brand positioning. They may only have an idea and a name, and nothing else, and that’s where I come in, offering consultancy and advice on the best way forward for what they are trying to achieve. A logo can really help make peoples dreams of starting a business become reality, and I really get a buzz from helping people on their first steps as a business, giving them the confidence to drive their business forward.

Away from work, I am a husband and a father of two boys. I enjoy football (Everton fan) and music – especially going to gigs and festivals – and I could talk to you all day long about either of those subjects. I also love mountain biking, real ale, photography, gardening and reading.

Please feel free to get in touch if you think I can help with any of your design requirements.
